Ian Sanderson's Mallow Border is a testament to the Indian art of hand block printing — trailing panels of flowers and foliage framed by a border of stylised buteh, each color printed from its own hand-carved wooden block. The Cayenne colorway pairs deep cayenne red with warm mustard gold on off-white 100% linen, and the slight variations in pattern and color are part of its hand-printed character. Each classic empire shade is printed, pleated and gathered by hand in England.
